With the WSU Third Anniversary Show taking place in Union City on March 6th WSU boss Sean McCaffrey to chat about the WSU Hall of Fame ceremony and the Anniversary Show.  The full interview can be seen in the upcoming edition of 'Fighting Females' due out next week.

Can you write a few words about this years inductees into the WSU Hall of Fame?

This should be a fun year, because all three of these women have worked for WSU in the past.

Dawn Marie has been very influential in helping some of the younger girls getting started, like Alicia. Imagine if Alicia was never around for WSU? It would be a whole different story. Dawn also has raised a lot of money through her Wrestlers Rescue charity. Sometimes as a promoter, you hear about these "big names" and how they are "divas" or hard to work with, but with Dawn, that is 100% the opposite. When she wrestled for us, she helped get Becky Bayless to the next level. Dawn has no ego, and it's great to have the chance to honour her work.

Molly Holly is someone we'd love to have wrestle for WSU, but she is retired from in-ring competition. Just think, Angel Orsini actually trained Molly! Molly is an inspiration for many women wrestlers and I know a bunch of wrestlers on the WSU roster got into wrestling because of people like Molly. I will say that if you think Molly is just there on 3/6 to receive an award, you would be mistaken...

Jazz is someone I just met personally, but have been a fan of for a long time. Again, like Dawn & Molly too, no ego  and a pleasure to work with.  Her work ethic and ability is something every women wrestler should aspire to have. I'm also happy to announce that Jazz will be with WSU for all upcoming announced events, and I think WSU is going to be the platform that Jazz makes her big comeback on.

Which matches are you looking forward to most at the third anniversary show?

Obviously, Mercedes Vs. Rain for the World Title has my interest piqued the most.  I think one thing WSU does that you don't see with the other women wrestling companies is have long-term issues that take months and months to culminate. Mercedes and Rain have been at it for over a year, and finally will have their first singles match. Either the Rain Era will begin on 3/6 or Martinez will become the first WSU champion to hold the championship for a year, which is a real feat. The WSU World Title is defended more than any other women’s wrestling championship on the independent scene. It is easy to have a champion hold a belt for a long time when they only defend it 3 times a year. What Martinez (and Orsini and Alicia when they were champs) has done as WSU champion is nothing short of incredible. WSU could be in for a change or Martinez will make history.

I'm interested in seeing where the Alicia and Brittney Savage match goes. Alicia is now the first ever Triple Crown WSU Champion, and wants to beat the hell out of Brittney. However, if Brittney can defeat Alicia one-on-one, it would be the biggest name she's ever defeated. I'm interested in seeing Alicia, who I think is 100% now from her comeback just as much as I'm interested in seeing if Brittney can rise to the occasion.

Jazz/Amber O'Neal and Orsini/Roxx also intrigue me. Plus Jana/Latasha finally end their feud of 16 months. I mean I don't see one bad match on the show, April Hunter finally returns to the northeast, taking on Traci Brooks, which would be a main event for some places, but here it is in the background to everything else. There is so much going on, I'm just looking forward to the day. It is going to be a great day for women wrestling fans, and we hope the fans take advantage of this show.
