FIGHTING FEMALES UK NEWS CENTRE FOR MARCH 12th 2010 

 

PTW held their third anniversary show at the Challney School for Girls in Luton on March 6th. Dragonian, accompanied by TIffany Wantsmore got a win over Sean Midnight who had Tracey Kilby in his corner.  Wantsmore and Kilby fought to the backstage area during the match. A No DQ return has been set for the show at th Grampian Club in Corby on March 6th and a tag match featuring all four is set for Birmingham in April.  More info at www.powertripwrestling.co.uk 

Amazon beat Britani Knight on an ASW show held in Colchester on March 6th.

Klondyke Kate appeared at the Legends show held in Leeds on March 6th as part of the Northern Wrestlers Reunion weekend. Kate, who’s currently celebrating the birth of a granddaughter last week, managed The Potteries Connection tag team of Keith Myatt and Mike Weaver. Her interference didn’t stop her team losing to Masked Diablos 1 and 2.

On a WAW Academy show held on March 7th the team of Amy-Lee Krammer and Liberty beat Britani Knight and Anaya.

Jetta faces Nikki McDonald on a SLAM show being held at the Tamworth Assembly Halls on March 12th.

Skarlett will be defending her E.W.W. Women’s title against Becky James at the Kings Hall in Herne Bay on March 19th. Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start, advance tickets are available on 01227 373 322.

Nikki Storm beat Carmel at the ICW show ‘Payback’ held on February 28th at the Maryhill Central Halls in Glasgow but after the match she was attacked by Carmel with Sara joining in. The pair then told Storm there’s only room for two female wrestlers in Scotland and she wasn’t one of them. Later on the card after ICW Champion Darkside had beaten Liam Thompson (who was accompanied by Carmel), he issued a challenge for Thompson and Carmel to face himself and Nikki Storm on the next show with Darkside declaring his goal was "to make that bitch bleed." That match takes place at ‘Serious Assault 2’ set for April 17th at the same venue. More information at www.InsaneWrestling.co.uk

Nikki Storm and Carmel have been confirmed for the SWA SOURCE show at the Links Community Centre in Cumbernauld on March 13th. SOURCE is their development brand and was formerly known as NXT until WWE came along and chose that name for their ECW replacement. More information at
www.scottishwrestling.co.uk/source Nikki Storm is also in action for W3L on March 19th when she faces Miss Viper at the Musselburgh Sports Centre.

HEW celebrate their sixth birthday on March 13th when they hold 'Living On a Prayer 6' at the Silver Jubilee Hall in Takeley, Bishops Stortford. The main event sees The Devil's Playboys, including HEW Women's Champion Britani Knight, take on London Inc. including Amazon.

Emma 'Em Jay' Spreadbury and Jon present ‘Wrestling with Cancer II’ on March 26th at the John Pounds Centre in Portsea, Portsmouth.
